I used to run engineering at a fintech during the hypergrowth years. When AI tools started landing, everyone wanted to believe they were shipping faster. Some were. Most had no idea. The data was either missing or measuring the wrong things.

That's why Klymb exists. We run 90-day engagements. Part audit, part advisory. The goal is to tell you whether your engineering org is actually accelerating. We look at SOTA measurement frameworks, but we also sit down with your teams and sort out noise from signal.

How we work

Most engineering measurement is cargo culting. Someone read that deploy frequency matters, so now everyone tracks deploy frequency. It matters in context. Without context it's just a number that teams will learn to game.

We start with the frameworks that have actual research behind them, then adjust for what your company actually cares about. Are you worried about velocity? Quality? Cost? Those are different problems that need different metrics.

The companies that get the most out of us are post-series A, pre-enterprise. They've outgrown "just ask the team how it's going" but aren't ready for a centralized data platform. They have 30 to 300 engineers and a CTO who suspects they could be moving faster but can't prove it.
